Exclusive copyrights are forbidden, but why can't I listen to gray songs?

Netease Cloud Music has always been my main music listening software. As a user who simply listens to music and has reached level 9, I am also one of the old “Net Yiyun” users. Today, when I opened Netease Cloud Music and wanted to listen to the World Championship theme song sung by GEM Deng Ziqi yesterday, I found out that Netease Cloud Music does not have the copyright!!!

On second thought, it makes sense: Tencent’s game, Tencent’s competition, Tencent invited her to sing the theme song, why should Netease Cloud Music have the copyright? Although exclusive copyrights have been banned by the government, it seems that Netease Cloud Music will not purchase a large amount of copyrights in the short term.

As a user, I cannot tolerate this, so I directly rushed into Github to see if there are any projects that unlock copyrighted songs, and I actually found one.

Installation

After seeing its installation tutorial, I found that it supports direct installation via Homebrew, which surprised me. So, I opened Terminal and entered:

brew install --cask yesplaymusic

Of course, for systems without Homebrew, you can deploy it through the installation package. The installation package mirror resource link is here.

After opening it, I instantly fell in love with this software because of its clean interface. It can be said that it has all the core functions of Netease Cloud Music, while removing functions that Netease Cloud Music should not have (private messages, short videos, etc.), keeping the essence and discarding the dross.

This software is based on Netease Cloud’s web API. In essence, it is a browser, so when you press F12, you will see the familiar developer interface of Google Chrome.

The feature of displaying random lyrics in this music library seems quite artistic.

But wait, why did I originally search for this software? To listen to songs with missing copyrights! This GUI integrates the /nondanee/UnblockNeteaseMusic repository to process songs without copyrights on Netease Cloud Music, sourcing them from places with copyrights. So, I listened to the song I wanted to hear before, feeling very satisfied and content.
